One year after establishing an office in Tunisia, HandsOn Systems is becoming the company of choice when it comes to GPS tracking, fleet management, and RFID solutions. With a number of transport and logistics companies already using its solutions, the company is establishing a very good presence in the market.
Tunisia lies between Algeria and Libya on the western Mediterranean and it seeks to be a logistics hub and modern trading platform between southern Europe and Africa. Apart from this, Tunisia itself is becoming a major player when it comes to the manufacturing sector. From textiles to electronics, Tunisia is home to some top major brands like Samsung, Hugo Boss, Sagemcom, Leoni, Siemens, STMicroelectronics, and many more!
With over 1 million commercial vehicles currently registered in Tunisia, HandsOn aims to win at least 10% of the market in the next 5 years. According to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), Tunisian transport and storage companies experienced a marked increase from 42,979 to 51,546 companies. In 2019, the sector already had 30 non-refrigerated warehouses, 1,281 refrigerated warehouses, 475 companies providing ancillary services to land transport, and 330 companies engaged in other transport support activities.
“Our objective is to become one of the leading IoT solutions providers in the region”
Najette Melliti, Tunisia’s General Manager.
Positioned in the North of Africa between Libya and Algeria, Tunisia can serve as a regional hub for any francophone country in Africa. This means that HandsOn can penetrate around 21 countries in Africa alone. The company aims to achieve this mainly through partnerships and distributor agreements.
